Ahh! I forgot about that one. Great track, not a huge fan of the rest of the album though. :(

I'll go with Astronomy Domini, one of my favorite Sid-era Floyd songs. I have always liked Queen's Keep Yourself Alive as an introductory opener as well. Both these tracks introduced exciting new sounds to the world.

1. Crossover Prog.
2. Tubular Bells is not song but long composition, thus doesn´t listed here as opener.

^ Roundabout was not from Yes' first album. This is the openers of the bands' respective first albums.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

From the list, Astronomy Domine' -- it set the agenda for the next few Floyd albums to follow, up until, oh, Animals I guess.
From outside this list, maybe "Father Cannot Yell", one of my favorite CAN songs and a great opening for their debut.
Or perhaps "Wild and Exciting" from Earth and Fire's debut. Still one of their best songs ever.
"Marathon" from Kayo Dot, perhaps? Talk about a mindblower. It's probably outside of the chronological scope of this poll, but I'll mention it anyway just to see the Kayo Dot fans drool.
Maybe "Solar Musick Suite" by Steve Hillage - the opener from Fish Rising, and possibly his definitive song.

Mission accomplished. If it was on there I probably would have voted for it. As it stands, Script.
If we ignored FGTR, Looking For Someone would have probably done it. Love that bit.
