I can't remember
what interview he said this in but he did. It's funny to think that Gabriel

I know Peter hates drugs (He said he almost died with the brownies)
and I'm sure he didn't used drugs for his funny voices, but I'm almost
sure there's some helium involved in parts of Suppers' Ready.

Yeah I know, I was saying initially (before I knew about Gabriel's history
with drugs) I thought he was on some sort of drug. After finding out the
truth I gained a lot more respect for him. I just knew a lot of people that
know I listen to Genesis and think that they are (especially Gabriel) a big
drug band, due to Gabriel's antics.

Rick wakeman was a drunk .That`s a fact.
Who else do you know?
| Yes, and their music started to decline when Wakeman begun to drink more and more while the others were still on Weed. It's like Morrisson who destroyed himself with alcohol addiction, whereas at the beggining he was on psychedelic "drugs". |
Very good point. |
I don't know if this is accurate, Rick Wakeman said on an interview had a heart attack at the age of 26 (1975) and he was forbidden to drink, almost sure he left alcohoil in that year.
So his music started to decline after he left alcohol to be precise he composed, Myths and Legends (In the hospital while recovering) Criminal Record and No Earthly Connection with no alcohol, both still great albums.
But his best album Six Wives was heavilly wet by alcohol.
Am I right, or did he started to drink again after his early heart attack (Vey dangerous at younger ages)? Some Wakeman fan please give us some light, not important but I'm curious.

so gabriel being mentioned, what about the rest of genesis? any info?
I'm aware that Hackett has a bonus track on to watch the storms called
something along the lines of "marijauna, assassin of youth" so that
must say something.

I read there are some nice photos somewhere in the net of Phil Collins and Steve Hackett lighting some suspicious cigarettes on the back of the stage. But that was many decades ago.

The floyd boys, but Rick, did acid and weed. You can see in the live in pompeii video, when they are interviewing Gilmour he looks like a chinese man who has conjuntivitis. |
Actually they all did acid.. Barrett everyday, Waters had a few experiences with it in the early years, so did Gilmour, you mentionned Rick there. And there's Mason as well... God come on... A LOT of people (ESPECIALLY IN MUSIC!!!) did acid during those years, it is clleaaar... There was a huge drug movement.

I meant they all took acid and smoked weed, except for Rick who never did anything but a shot of heroine before one concert, I heard it on an interview.

No Rick said that he did try marijuana before the concert and couldn't play a note so he didn't try it agian. He also admitted to trying acid once and loved it and a second time and hated it so he never did it agian. This was all probably during the 60's when he experimented.
Mason claims that at some time or another they all experimented some way with drugs.
P.S. One small funny note, Look on the cover of an album called, Smoking Blues, by Pink Floyd, it's one of their live albums, thier best also. Take a look at Rick's left hand, I think that would explain the look on his face.
