mostly translated bio from myspace

"Detergents. Group which worked out a synthesis of the rock'n'roll of the jazz and what the period ranging between 1920 and 1940 produced in modern operas. Its aspirations are in the line of Fred FRITH and Frank ZAPPA. Has turns during many years to France and in the French-speaking countries. Detergents was created with Benjamin HENOCQ with the Battery, Denis CHAUVET with Low and François OSTAPOWIECZ with the sax, Marijane ICHE voice and Bruno of LYLLE guit. Philippe HEBRARD, low took again the continuation like Roger VINCENT LUCE and Marc GIGLIO with the drums. A new formation is born with always this shifted scenic presence. It brings together musicians of different horizons and this is what makes its originality."
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Detergents, eh? How clean can music be... The cup-a-tea of our JR/F and Canterbury lovers I guess, probably more the former. This one makes me pity that they are only available through MySpace at this time. Music for an evening with a bottle of good red wine, and the audio kit on 9 (not 11). Nice one, Greg!
