All right lets end this series right here. I want to finish spinning these before I vote. Some character albums here with Sorrenti & Battiatto and of course Le Orme and PFM are here. I'm a massive fan of that Procession album so I'm looking forward to hearing these.

A tough choice between Logos and Le Orme, but I went for Le Orme. I feel Felona e Sorona is their best album, and perfect from start to finish! Thanks, John, for these interesting polls.

I can't go with anything other than PFM here. Le Orme is very, very close. The rest I could leave for another time.

Ah it's amazing how in every poll after the first one I've only heard two of the albums! In this case though they're two of my absolute prog rock favorites, bar none: Per Un Amico and Felona E Sorona. Choosing between them hurts my heart.

...but Per Un Amico was my first Italian love. Without that record I never would've sought out RPI, or a lot of other new prog. It was actually the first discovery I ever made on this website. So Per Un Amico would be my vote.
Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

PFM narrowly over Logos, which in turn is narrowly over Le Orme. On a different day I could see changing my order.

Per Un Amico is simply my favorite Italian album, Le Orme isn't far behind.

Logos.
That said, Alan Sorrenti's Aria and Procession's Frontiera are totally worth listening to.

All these are great, but my vote goes to PFM, if only by a hair over Le Orme.

I'm not normally surprised if the one I vote for doesn't have any other votes yet, but that Franco Battiato album is super awesome and I expect it to pick up more votes indeed.

Logos for me...Le Orme and PFM are Hall of Fame anyway
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

I have been called Dave a lot in my life because of my last name Davie. No worries at all which is why I didn't say anything. And thanks!

I like your rationale, my first Italian album was PFM's L'isola Di Niente and it remains my favourite. There's something about that Le Orme record here that draws me in, the melancholy maybe and synth sounds too.

Seems to be a connection between those two and I must admit I'd be happy listening to any of PFM's first three.

This was a tough poll for me to pick one because you have the big two but Battiato and Sorentti are so fine in their own ways. As I said earlier they have character.
