Not an easy question: UK and Sweden are both number one. UK wins by massive number of great bands, but Sweden draws level when taking into account that it's much smaller (in number of inhabitants), and has some of the best bands in the world.
My list: 1 UK and Sweden 3. Italy 4. USA 5. Poland 6. Germany

Being an Opeth, Meshuggah, Flower Kings, Thomas Bodin and PoS fan, I don't think I'm too bias.

A tiny bit exaggerated but close to the truth. Oh, and you forgot to mention Karmakanic, Simon Says, Galleon, Anglagard, Moon Safari, Beardfish, Therion, Mind's Eye, Evergrey, Anekdoten. Kaipa, A.C.T., Paatos, Andromeda, Landberk, Samla Mammas Manna, Par Lindh Project and many more.
It's more of a surprise not everybody puts them on no.1. I think it's obvious. Poland and France are ok too besides the evident UK and USA.

Haven't listened to much Swedish prog except TFK and Anekdoten, so I can't really compare. Yet.
