And not one prog album amongst my Top 20 either, even though I didn't deliberately set out to avoid making another list of favourite prog albums. Smile

^ Many thanks, Richard. That's quite a list. Glad to see someone who also listed a track off both Kate Bush albums. The album The Sensual World used to find did not get much love (see more love for it now), and it's one I've really liked since I got it for really cheap in the cassette bargain bin not very long after its release. I chose "The Fog" and "Rocket's Tail" would be my second pick -- with David Gilmour on guitar, a rockin' Rocket it is. I was going to go with "Cloudbursting" too, but then opted to go with the, I find, very beautiful opening for The Ninth Wave "suite" or "side", although I prefer listening to all of The Ninth Wave. I had planned to include Enya's Watermark, but then faltered on deciding on track. Was leaning towards "Storms in Africa". It's an album (CD) I bought back in 1990, and used to listen to lots of Enya, but have not played much in many years. I used to be much more into New Age (although one might not like the term) kinds of music then like Enya, Clannad, Kitaro.... For relaxing/ relaxing, I tend to turn to other Ambient music now, Chill, Downtempo, and love Dream Pop....

^ Thanks for the list, I checked those out. It was especially nice for me to hear the Joe Jackson again.

The more the merrier.    It would be enjoyable if more people joined in, but I guess to some it might seem a bit too much of a chore coming up with a list, and the Prog-minded often are so album focused that choosing individual tracks might well be harder than for the rather more song-minded like me (those Interactive polls got me all the more thinking along the lines of sharing tracks, but then actually I have long done that here). Choosing faves can be hard, and worrying about leaving out ones for the perfectionists can be troublesome (one can edit in more later or come up with a second, third, fourth... list if one wants). The Rate Your Music, Prog Archives and other charts might help some by searching for the years, and styles.

I did not use it, but here is the progarchives chart for 1985 to 1989 including those listed as Proto-Prog and Prog Related bands: CLICK
And here is the rateyourmusic chart for those years (which I used to help me to remember and I have discovered much music through the charts): CLICK
