Hi. I have a question about "Studio Album" word. For better explain I give you 2 example:
1-Corvus Stone : Unscrewed (2015)
2- Edisons Children: Somewhere Between Here And There(2015)

These 2 albums categorized as Studio Albums in their page in PA but you can see many versions of old tracks in these albums track list! Even Live version of one song in new "Studio Album" track list.
Now I really want to know what is PA definition for Studio Album?  I don't have a negative point about this and please don't zoom on " ! " in my thread . Thanks

Hi 0666,

In response to your question, the definition of a studio album you can find on Wikipedia, also copied here below for you:

Studio album -

A studio album contains newly written and recorded or previously unreleased or remixed material, distinguishing itself from a compilation or reissue album

of previously recorded material, or live recording made at a performance venue.

Hi. I don't agree with you. Edison's Children new album can categorize as Boxset and Compilation. You can find and listen. This is not about 1 or 2 tracks this is about over 50% of album! I recommend you to listen to this album. Thanks

I was aware that P.A. only add complete album releases, thus not singles?
I see nothing wrong in reviewing recent remastered versions, as you probably are aware, many remastered versions differ from the original, inc. dynamic range etc. i.e. the 3 first albums from Led Zeppelin have now again been remastered and it would be silly to review the old ones if you instead happen to have the recent ones. Confused
There are many Genesis singles reviews in PA Kati and, again, most are from albums that are available such as And Then There Were Three. And these are not remixes and/or remasters which alters the listening experience.

Hi there! Good question.
I am from Corvus Stone and it was all done in studios. Various studios but that has happened throughout history. Recorded here and there, mixed somehwere else etc.
In our case, we have remixed some music from previous albums(Unlike many bands, we give it free to any buyer of the first 2)
All done in studios and glad to say NOT mastered to be loud and unmusical. Call it old school studio
Real even
Bye for now
Colin
