I know this isn´t the most progressive of bands, but boy can this dude rip!
This should definitely interest the guitarists out there.
Fingernails in a wild frenzy for ya:

I also agree with Altaire, although I do have a favourite amongst these, and that's Skating Away On The thin Ice Of The New Day from their War Child album.

Lots to choose from but I go with "In The Beginning" - Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Totally sublime accoustic guitar work from Greg Lake, and simply, a beautiful song Smile

I really have no idea what a favourite would be - so many... (Moths by Tull for e.g.) but the most significant in terms of music and lyrics may very well be Wish You Were Here..

This is one I´ve been listening to a lot:

Leave it to the Italians to make something as sweet as that.

Oh wait - what about those semi-French dudes from Quebec?:

Rush- Resist (live)

The definite highlight from Rush in Rio, it was so different from everything else.

I'd have to go with "Pilgrim" by Pain of Salvation or "The Silent Man" by Dream Theater. "Rivendell" by Rush is fairly good, too.

Agreed, I prefer it more over the other two.

Nothing Comes, Nothing Goes from their album Winter Day's Nightmare
Born Today from their debut English sung album Libra

I agree with Tull, but I prefer "Reasons for Waiting", "Life is a Long Song" or "The Witches Promise".

"Solitaire"? "Dun Ringill"? "One Brown Mouse"? Or maybe "Salamander"...

Bah! There are too many great Tull acoustic tunes to name.
