Anyways, it turns out this album is a concept album, and a really proggish one at that. In short the band moves their rehearsal space to an old mental institution outside Umea, and ins\ide this abandoned institution, they find the diary of a man who drowned his wife. This spirals off into one huge fantasy story that ends on a VERY negative note.
Having heard the album, the music does kind of match up with the story this crazy guy portrays, I really wanna get the albums lyrics though so I can get every piece of the concept.

I really liked the direction of Somewhere Along the Highway - definitely their most balanced, experimental and powerful - and I'm looking forward to hearing what they've come up with next.

Cult of Luna have announced their newest album ETERNAL KINGDOM, is finnished, and should be released June sixteenth in Europe, and July 8th in the US. If it's anywhere close to somewhere along the highway, it's gotta be good!
 Weird stuff, I know, but I bet the music will be incredible.
