this experimental concert, composed by John Cage, is scheduled to last 639 years.

it began in september 2003, except the first year and a half was total silence.  the 2nd chord in the progression was reached today.

John Milton Cage (September 5, 1912August 12, 1992) was an American experimental music composer, writer and visual artist. He is most commonly known for his 1952 composition 4'33" whose three movements are performed without playing a single note.

Oh, John Cage. He's been plagiarised a lot.

(He made a lot of money when some radio station stopped emitting music anymore, and because they then played 4'33" without his permission he got the $$$, or so I've heard)

That'll be a long (and not to mention expensive) live album then.
