I actually prefer "For girls who grow plump in the night".
Isn't Gong's "You" listed as Canterbury?

Too hard of a decision for me, cause they're all amazing albums.

I'd call invalid a Canterbury poll without a single National
Health, Egg or Gong album. While both Hatfields rank with
those, the 2 NHs and Gong's Angel's Egg and You have to be
the pinnacles of this genre. I've tried several times with The
Land of Grey and Pink, but despite its naive charm, warm vibe
and pre- (better than) Camel groove, can't make out what's so
fabulous about it. Can someone explain this to me? Endearing
as it is, it sounds quite dated compared to the gems cited
above.

Yes, you should get the first Hatfield album and Matching Mole as well,
if you haven't got it yet. There's so much little-known Canterbury suff
out there. Lets see, all the Softs solo projects and collaborations,
Khan, Arzachel, the first gen Caravan albums (up to cunning), Hugh
Hopper solo albums, etc...
