ALL THINGS ARE APART....
ALL THINGS ARE APART....
ALL THINGS ARE A PART....
Brilliant stuff. | Nice one. I like "Lemmings" end a bit more... |
what song is that? all thing are apart? what band/song? |
It's from VDGG's "Pawn Hearts". The phrase "ALL THINGS ARE APART"
it the very ending of the album; "Lemmings" is the first track; the
ending is something to praise. Both endings mentioned, actually. |
Just to be specific, the song is called "A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers", one of my favorite epics of all time.

Some great endings that comes to mind:
- Plague of light house keepers, incredible ending to my number 1 favorite prog epic.
- Starless, probobly the most powerful ending to a song ever.
- Siberian kathru, i yust love Howes soloing at the end and i hate when it stops and the song is over i want it to continue forever.
- Time, Superb ending to one of Floyds best songs, also has my favorite guitar solo of all time.

I've allways loved the ending to:
Rush - Cygnus X-1
Rush - 2112
Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance
Liquid Tension Experiment - Paradigm Shift
--------
All I could think of off the top of my head.

Dang straight about Siberian Khatru! That has to be my favorite ending to any album I own, period.
They can also be horrendous, too. As much as I love Supper's Ready, I feel like that monstrous ending loses its luster a bit with that fadeout. The end itself is great, but I can never get over my problems with that fade!

Too many...
For example:
VdGG -- My Room (from "Still Life")
VdGG -- Meurglys III (from "World Record")

Great choice . Howe's playing is ecstatic.

Listen carefully to Hackett's playing through the fade. It is a fabulous finish reminiscent of Siberian Khatru.

i agree!
they play a melody line, and then jam along with it for a few minutes, while it builds to a big climax!

I like the end of Ciclos by Canarios where we hear the voice of God who is a bit disappointed (at least, that's my impression)

The end of "Harold the Barrel" is the most clever one on Genesis discography. The strongest would be the end of "The return of the giant hogweed". Both on the best Genesis album from that period.
