I really love both albums, selling england is my favourite album from genesis, and Wish you were here, my favourite from floyd, but Pink floyd is my favourite band, so, I chose WYWH

Does anybody know something else beside Yes, Genesis and pfloyd around here?
Why not try a good old GURU GURU or HatfielD AND THE NORTH for a change? |
Hmmm, that sounds like an idea for a poll ? I wonder if there's anyone out there that likes those groups that might want to start one ?

Selling England is better than Wish you were here and Close to the Edge, but Foxtrot is better than Selling England by the Pound, but my top 10 differs from this site's.

Selling England By The Pound is imo better than Wish You Were Here, Though I prefer the overall work of Pink Floyd to Genesis.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond is one of the best songs I ever heard, probably in my top 5 or even top 3 of favourite songs, but I think the rest of WYWH is not as good. I think Dark Side Of The Moon had a better balance.
Genesis' Selling England is an album where I think there are no weak songs. Not to everybody's taste (in particular I Know What I Like and More Fool Me) but for me, musically, Selling England is a very even album, with no fillers, and with the two best tracks they ever made, Firth Of Fifth and Cinema Show.
So I choose Selling England.

Wish You Were Here !
SEBTP have to many boring moments for it to be the best or even in the top 10 prog albums imo, sure its a good albums but far from my fav genesis or anything, the lamb is far and away much beter and the best genesis album.

One of the hardest polls ever.... overall, I'd say WYWH, but Firth of Fifth is just too much too handle for any album this side of The Dream or TFk for me... so, again...SEBTP

There are more songs I don't like on SEBTP (I Know What I Like, More Fool Me, and the highly overrated The Battle of Epping Forest) than on WYWH, so I vote WYWH.

I agree I recently saw the Musical Box and The Battle of Epping Forest killed the show.
BTW, glad to see WYWH won this poll.

SEBTP because of Dancing With...., Firth of Fifth and Cinema Show, whereas WYWH can only put up Shine on you Crazy Diamond...therefore SEBTP (note both are not as good as CTTE)...
