Sadly I don't have as many albums from them as I would like to...
Having said that,
Ocean Songs is pure gold. You'll have to be in the right mood for it or else you'll get bored of it, but when in the right mood this album touches you in a very emotional way. A single violin never sounded so emotional specially on the aptly named "Authentic Celestial Music" (

) and in "Deep Waters". A personal favorite of mine from the genre that's only reserved for certain occasions. BTW, the cover is very beautiful as well and if I remember correctly the violinist did this painting along with the rest album covers of them. I won't get deep in describing the album since it would be better for you to discover it by yourself.
Cinder was a big let down. I missed the live feel of Ocean Songs. It had shorter songs and none were as good or as touching as the ones in Ocean Songs. I complete departure from their previous sound. Brace yourself when listening to this one...
The last album I got from them was
Horse Stories, but sadly I still haven't gave it the proper listens it deserves (I remember playing many times Ocean Songs until I "got it"). From the little plays I gave it the album sounds more optimistic and "fun" than Ocean Songs.
I've heard that
Whatever You Love, You Are is one of the band's peaks along with Ocean Songs and Horse Stories so I think that will be my next album to get from them.
A beautiful band that was one in the beginning of the genre. Sadly they sometimes get overlooked by the modern Post-Rock bands, a things that happens alot to the 90's Post-Rock bands.
Side Note:
Dirty Three was the first post-rock band I wrote a bio for when I entered the post-rock team.
