And that's number 6 (or 7 whatever) !! Great to see so many fans of this jewel. Should yield some more reviews though. I'd say: do your job prog reviewers !
And bring in all those 5 star ratings StarStarStarStarStar.

I'm surprised no one has nominated the new Frost CD yet.  It gets my vote.

My vote goes to "Dark Shot" by the French band ONE SHOT. Dark, zeuhl flavoured jazz that has thrilled me to no end this year.  Janick Top's latest is like going back in time to when zeuhl was at it's peak. IL BACCIO DELLA MEDUSA from Italy have no doubt pulled off one of the best sounding albums this year. DEUS EX MECCHINA's "Imparis" deserves a mention as well. How about BEARDFISH's latest. In my top 5 for sure. That was so much fun. RUSSIAN CIRCLES also deserves a mention. For me this was one of the best years for prog in a while.I'll mention AMASEFFER,AMYGDALA,EVERY OTHER FATE,OSADA VIDA,Neal Morse,HOSTSONATEN,FROSt,PENDRAGOn and MARILLION.

In no apparent order:

1-     The Tangent- Better than the Book

2-     Galleon- Engines of Creation

3-     Hostsonaten- Wintertrough

4-     Magenta- Metamorphosis

5-     Fish- The Thirteenth Star

6-     Alma- Sobre Fantasias

7-     Simon Says- Tardigrade

8-     Il Bacio Della Medusa- Discesa….

9-     Believe- Yesterday is a Friend

10- Coral Caves- Mitopoiesi

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.
