1. Beethoven - The String Quartets/Grosse Fuge (8 CDs – am I cheating?)
2. J. S. Bach - Mass in B minor
3. Genesis - The Lamb
4. VdGG - Pawn Hearts
5. Manos Hadjidakis - O Megalos Erotikos

Margherita with garlic and basil. A never ending supply of wine. Can I bring my guitar as well?

I say nothing is nothing

Flower Kings - Stardust We Are
The Black Dog - Spanners

Now, what would you have if you were trapped on that island in Lost? Tongue

Time/Life's 5 CD "How to Build a Boat" Wink

Pizza topped with 50 lbs of Pepperoni, 50 lbs. of Mushrooms and 50 lbs of Mozarella.  That should keep me alive until I'm able to finish my boat.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Bloody bloody bloody difficult one, this. Ask me again tomorrow and half of them will probably be different.

Cardiacs - Sing to God (I'm allowed both parts, right?)
Gentle Giant - Playing the Fool
Focus - Focus 3
Hatfield and the Noth - The Rotters' Club
Zamla Mammaz Manna - Familjesprickor

Pizza: Magherita. Unlike music, I like my pizzas uncomplicated.

I imagine this is five prog albums, not just five albums. If so, I would probably just choose five Dream Theater albums, but as I'm stranded forever, I'd probably want some variation.

Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory
Dream Theater - Train Of Thought
Cynic - Traced In Air
Jordan Rudess - The Road Home
Rush - Moving Pictures

PIZZA - Dominos, thin crust with chicken, sweetcorn, muchrooms and ground beef.

that is hard... hmmm..

Osanna - Palepoli
Battiato - Sulle Corde di Aries
Balleto di Bronzo - YS
Magma - Kobaia
Amon Duul II - Yeti
The Pedro and Micky Experience - When one no longer requires psychotropics to trip

You know, pretty much anything you could bring along musically would get tiring after a while if you could only have five no matter what you brought.  As long as I can bring my head along I'll just listen to whatever comes to mind in my head and you can't stop me.  And if I sneak on my digital music player I might be able to get by for quite a while.

OK, OK I'm going to pick titles out of my last few additions:
Kansas - Two For The Show
Umphrey's McGee -Mantis
Nektar - Book Of Days
The Pineapple Thief - Tightly Unwound
Talisma - Quelque Part

and that's all I'd need, oh wait, also
Gongzilla    Thrive
Gong, Pierre Moerlen's    Pentanine
Santana    Borboletta
Reasoning, The    Dark Angel
Crimson Jazz Trio    King Crimson Songbook Volume 1
Wilson, Steven    Insurgentes
Jethro Tull    Nightcap
Penguin Café, The    Music From the Penguin Café

and that's all I'd need

For pizza, I'd have to place an order in the Atlantais area for an Athens Pizza.  One that has gyro meat, feta cheese, calamata olives, pepperoncini, tomatoes...
Probably a really big one with 50 pounds of the toppings, even knowing that I'd have to figure out how to build the boat by myself to get the hell off the island.

Now on Gilligan's Island I'd have the entire DVD series of Lost and wouldn't be able to play it because all that would be available would be coconut/bamboo CD players that couldn't play DVDs anyway and aren't actually able to play CDs either (it was the '60's after all...).  The pizza would be a sand one with coconut and banana topping because that would be all you could get.

Now how about if one were trapped on a dessert island?...

yummy!  screw the prog...  take the pizza.  Bet most of us have those albums we picked riveted into our conscious anyway and don't need to have the albums to 'hear'  them.

I think stealing some pineapple would be first on the agenda on a dessert island. Tongue

I always liked Mary Ann more than Ginger, though I do prefer to use ginger in cooking.

I forgot to mention a pizza. I like my pizzas with LOTS of toppings. Let's see: Tuna, ham, salami, onions, garlic, sliced green, red and yellow bell peppers, eggplant, anchovy, egg, mushrooms, Gorgonzola... that's all which comes to my mind right now. The more the merrier. Wink
