Desert Island, Deserted Island.  Feh!

Let's get stranded on some other kind of islands:

1. A Dessert Island.
2. Gilligan's Island.
3. An Arctic or Antarctic Island.
4. A Caribbean Island.
5. Any Polynesian Island.
6. A Hawaiian Island.
7. An Aleutian Island.
8. The Island in Lost.
9. A Kerguelen Island.
10. Name your own 'cause I bet there are some I hadn't thought of yet.

Now, name your island and name your discs.

How about the island where Godzilla grew out of nuclear radiation?  Was that Easter Island or maybe just Monster Island.  Perfect for listening to Blue Oyster Cult.

The magical island of Iona and er........ Iona albums,  especially the scintillating Open Sky !
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

The island of hot _______________, ___________ women.  You can fill in the blanks yourself.  Wink

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I was trying to think of that short-lived reality show earlier with all of the hot people on it, but I couldn't.  Now I remembered though.  It was called Temptation Island.  Couples would compete to see if they were truly in love with their fiances or if they could be tempted by the sins of some very hot flesh.   I don't know if there is any prog music that fits the bill for something like that.

I remember an SNL skit where they were media execs trying to come up with survivor type shows and they came up with "herpes island" where they put a bunch of people on an island, one of which had herpes and the idea was who would escape the island without catching it.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

OK, I'll bite
The Island Of Hot Hairy Angry Women:

Anthony Phillips, The Geese and the Ghost (to mellow them out)
Frank Zappa, Thing Fish (might make them run away screaming)
Wendy Carlos, Beauty In The Beast (for its gender confusative value)
The Bears, The Bears (having some bears on your side might be useful)
Henry Kaiser, Those Who Know History Are Doomed To Repeat It (because those who know history are doomed to repeat it)

Christmas Island.  Because its real and seems interesting based only on its name.

Pitcairn Island!

Albums that would make you want to mutiny!

The Mars Volta -- Bedlam in Goliath  (That ought to start the rioting going)
Jon Anderson -- Olias of Sunhillow  (An inspirational album about outcasts sailing to a new home.)
Rush -- 2112 (This tale of a successful revolt should be popular among the rabble.)
King Crimson -- Islands  (Plenty of good sea chanties on this one.)
Michael Jackson -- Bad  (Just get Captain Bligh to play it once... and then step back.)

That's a real scary thought, because so do I. LOL
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I can't get a dessert island out of my head. Although I suppose it doesn't much matter as long as I have Wilson (Flo is an acceptable substitute) to keep me company.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.
