i don't know if Anekdoten has been mentioned, but that is the first band i though about...
sadly, some of the Italian monsters i love did release some lower albums...

Devin Townsend has, in my opinion, not made a single weak solo album.

Porcupine Tree would also fit, if not for In Absentia and Deadwing ruining their track record.
With magic, you can turn a frog into a prince.
With science, you can turn a frog into a Ph.D. and you still have the frog you started with.

Magma is also a band with one of the most consistant streak of incredible albums... and they're STILL puting out music.
