Instead of Nuclear Weapons, why can't they all just throw cream pies at each other.

Well, as long as we don't switch to solving international conflicts by golf matches things should work out fine... isn't Kim Jong-Il a really good golfer?

Before anyone gets too excited, it appears the launch was a failure, at least according to NORAD.

Perhaps this will make up for it:

NORTH KOREA LAUNCHES LONG RANGE ROCKET WITH 100000 MILE/TEN YEAR WARRANTY

Experts say North Korea extended missile warranty will wreak havoc with America's big three missile makers.

Satire by R J Shulman
Pyongyang, North Korea -- (PTSD News) -- Despite threats of retaliation from the United States, at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, North Korea launched a long range missile with a twist - they are guaranteeing the rocket for 100,000 miles or ten years. “This bold defiance of the excepted standards of the world community is a threat to the global missile makers community,” said Charles Kramer, president of the World Missile Manufactures.

Experts say North Korea extended missile warranty will wreak havoc with America’s big three missile makers. “If we are not immediately bailed out by Congress,” said Lance Blowfield of General Missiles, “we will have to declare bankruptcy.”

...

“The problem with our missile industry can clearly be laid at the door of the MWA or Missile Workers of America union which has made it too costly to make missiles in the US,” said Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.). “We are going to need for the workers to make concessions by accepting lower pay and safety standards.”

“We can’t keep looking to old fossil fuels to power our missile program,” said Al Gore to a joint session of Congress. “We have to come up with new earth friendly sources of energy for our missiles like wind and solar so we can be more green when we blow up the rest of the world.”

KCNA, the North Korean News agency, touted their new missile as having the highest crash test rating in the world. “No other missile has been crashed more times than our Super Nice Kim Jung-Il Ultra Rocket,” said Sin Son Ho, North Korean ambassador to the United Nations.” US intelligence agrees, confirming that the missile crashed harmlessly into the ocean just east of Japan.

How tolerant and understanding of China to acknowledge NK's right to a peaceful space program. Hang on, they dont give two flying sh*ts about the rights of their own people, why would they care about NK's right a space program? Would they be quite so understanding if it were Japan or South Korea firing 'space' rockets over THEIR territory without permission....??

I dont think so....

Out of interest, what would be the actual conseqeunces of just going ahead and attacking North Koreas military infrastructure? Would anyone leap to their defence? If so, who and why?

Some Newt said we should preemptively attack them with lasers or something. LOL

It’s ironic that Gingrich is calling Obama’s foreign policy a “fantasy,” given that just last week, he contrived an imaginary war plan in response to North Korea’s planned missile launch. On Fox News last Wednesday, Gingrich said that the United States should use lasers to preemptively attack North Korea’s missile (before it launched) in order to prevent a North Korean nuclear electromagnetic pulse attack on the U.S.

Earlier on the segment this morning, Gingrich said that he would have taken out the missile on the launch pad, though his specifics for how to do so were notably vague: “There are three or four techniques that could have been used, from unconventional forces to standoff capabilities.”

It's scary that he is thinking about a 2012 run for President. Makes you hope that Palin runs again.

Rush for President might be the best thing for all. Finally having to answer questions, and face actual intelligent debaters like Obama would do wonders for Rush's detachment from reality ...

I'm sure the far right would love that. That little lovefest that they had last month they couldn't get enough of the OxyHead.
