Friendship is like wetting your pants: everyone can see it, but only you can feel its warmth.

I am in Slarti's position. I did not know he had anything to do with Rush but I knew he produced Tina TurnerConfused I have 2 of his albums bought them on Airmail Japan. They are good. He is hard to describe. Sometimes its like Elton John,Billy Joel with an acid touch, songs are lush orchestrated but not all and then you get a more up tempo track mixed throughout. with mainly guitar Scott Walkerish sort of with some of the tracks but he does not have the same voice. I hope that helpsLOL It was released in 1971 and the other is in 1973 that I have. He does remind me of Mick Greenwood the closest but that is probaly zero help as he is exactly not a household name. You would definitely like Greenwood if you have not already heard him Scott  very Elton John,Paul Simon sounding. I am surprised the Greenwoods records did not sell more when they were released in the 70's. Anyway after that I am going for this one after raving about himThumbs Up

He only produced two of the Rush albums 'roll the bones' and 'presto' if memory serves wel. He is also the "Saga" guy, having produced the amazing 'heads or tales' in 1983 and having enrolled Steve Negus on one or two of his eighties albums, which are very good BTW, especially Immunity.
Your memory serves you well.  Those are the albums that he produced and added some keyboards too.  I didn't realize that he was involved with Saga too.  That's cool.  It sounds like I will have to try and check out his solo stuff.

Also, to Matthew, I am not familiar with Mick Greenwood but he sounds interesting too.

He also played on Ant Phillips' Wise After the Event.  Doing backing vocals and percussion or something.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

yes, forgot the collaboration with Ant. 'Wise after the event' is a great album by the way, the one I prefer from his prog rock era.
