not that leaving it off my impromptu list makes the slightest difference in the world.  but considering how much crap I send down the commode their way...  it makes sense to put them on the list.

Genesis -  The Cinema Show.

If only Genesis could have reached those heights on more than one song.. which is why I seperate them from others that could and did reach that kind of nirvana many more times.  There is something to said for being clever.. which Genesis was.. but there is more to be said for making music that sticks to your soul.  absolutely stunning piece of music.
