I suppose there are two ways of presenting a poll - either put up the albums you personally like most or put up those which are well known.  This poll clearly goes for the first option which is fair enough.
 
If the list was of famous prog albums then the following would have to be included.
Yes - Going For the One
ELP - Works Volume 1
Alan Parsons - I Robot
Rush - A farewell to Kings
 
However, Wind and Wuthering belongs in 1976 - i bought it between Christmas and New Year that year.  I have to say that i was rather disappointed in it and still don't get a great deal out of it.

That was a great year but I'll go for my favourite Rush album, A Farewell To Kings. Going Fot The One (Yes) would have been second which didn't make the list and then Genesis W & W.

eloy's coean is outstanding
 
for me one of the best albums of all time
 
allthought i love songs from the wood,animals and many more from the list  i gave my vote to ocean because it deserves more atention
 
it's an amazing album  so magical and out of this world
 
eloy's best for sure

I didn't hear it for the first time in '77 and there are other some good ones I know in the list but Wind And Wuthering made a great impression on me.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
