2) find me something better by anybody between 1982 and 1986. Can you find more than 10 albums better than those?

I've come up with twelve:

Camel: Stationary Traveller
Genesis: Genesis
Pink Floyd: Final Cut
Marillion: Fugazi
Marillion: Misplaced Childhood
Steve Hackett: Highly Strung
Rush: Signals
Rush: Grace Under Pressure
Pendragon: The Jewel
Pallas: The Sentinal
IQ: Tales From the Lush Attic
IQ: The Wake

I have so much more.

This is easy.  I kick them both to the curb.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Like a lot of 80's music (with the exception of KC) Both sound pretty bad and uninteresting to me today---but I used to listen to them.

Camel: Stationary Traveller  Definitely not. Awful album

Rush: Grace Under Pressure  Not awful but not better either.

I don't understand the disdain for Big Generator! 90125 has Changes but it is all 80's studio gimmickry! At least on Big Generator they try to be a bit more progressive. IMO you can't be the studio production on the two singles, lush perfection IMO.

I've never been able to shake this bad dream from my memory.  It's seared in since the day I saw it.

I agree with every one of those choices bar Genesis. All the others are excellent albums.

Normally, I agree with you on just about everything, but Stationary Traveller is one of my favourite Camel albums - and Fingertips may be my all time favourite Camel track.

Why don't you just edit it?
I don't understand when people correct typos or ideas in a second post instead of just using the "Edit Post" feature.

Anyways.. 91025.

Crushed like a rose in the riverflow.

Yes, if you someone doesn't like album you do, they're close minded. Love that logic!

And furthermore, why do you create polls if you don't give a damn about opinions of others?

I create polls to see results and the "I don't care" portion are my opinions on the albums, see it betterWinkWink

90210 was the primary reason I gave up on Yes.  I went along for the ride for a little while.   I knew they were trying to make Yes commercially viable again....
