Can you spare a minute with these details?
1. Burning Bridges (10:04) 2. Between The Leaves (5:49) 3. Free Man (7:15) 4. Flying (8:06) 5. 5omebody Cares (10:46) 6. Time (7:00) 7. Visions Of Nirvana (6:27)
- Kai Grřnlie / lead vocals - Per Amundsen / bass - Knut Lie / drums, backing vocals - Harald Otterstad / keyboards - Svein Rřnning / guitar & 12-string guitar, backing vocals
BTW the band's name is Déjŕ-Vu and the Bio could also benefit with some more info, more or less under these lines: "With a lineup including two ex-members of Hřst (Knut Lie on
drums and Svein Rřnning on guitar) and the late Kai Grřnlie on lead
vocals, it's sole album "Between the Leaves" is a legendary rarity due to originally only being released as
a small test pressing in 1976, and the album didn't get a more widespread release until
1995, by which point Kai Grřnlie had passed on." (adapted from a review here on PA, surely the author should be previously asked permission and/or cited)

This one is tough, need help
The 1st edition (for export) is from 1974 and named " The Blue Effect - A Benefit Of Radim Hladík " with a different cover from the one on PA; The cover on the album's page is actually from the Czech release (1975) named "Modrý Efekt & Radim Hladík" which also has a different track order (and titles in Czech language, I suppose).
A little confusion but nothing we can't deal with, let's see:
I propose to adopt this Track List
1. Shoes (Boty) (09:57) 2. Tea-Room (Čajovna) (4:01) 3. Jigsaw Puzzle (Skládanka) (5:49) 4. Lost-And-Found (Ztráty a nálezy ) (5:12) 5. Hypertension (Hypertenze) (12:30)
Total time 37:29
Bonus tracks on 2000 Remastered release: 6. Armageddon (6:22) (*) 7. Clara (4:13) (#)
Total time 48:04
(*) From "Hallo Nr. 10" VVAA compilation - Radio studio Berlin, 1973 (#) From "Hallo Nr. 9" VVAA compilation - LIVE, Kulturhaus Leuna, 1973
And releases would go like this
LP PZO Artia / Supraphon 1 13 1586 (1974, Czechoslovakia) Export version titled "The Blue Effect: A Benefit Of Radim Hladík" with different cover and track order. LP Supraphon 1 13 1777 (1975, Czechoslovakia)
CD Bonton 495274-2 (2000, Czech Republic) Remastered by Jiří Charypar w/ 2 bonus tracks
What about the cover ?
Thanks for your suggestions |
Probably not a best solution, but if international release is earlier I would: 1. Change the title to "The Blue Effect - A Benefit Of Radim Hladík (Modrý Efekt & Radim Hladík)", because I think it's better known as "Modrý Efekt & Radim Hladík". 2. Use the cover of international release (according to PA rule to use the cover of earliest edition). 3. Give track lists of both versions.
4. Change suggested releases info as follows: LP PZO Artia / Supraphon 1 13 1586 (1974, Czechoslovakia, export version entitled "The Blue Effect: A Benefit Of Radim Hladík") LP Supraphon 1 13 1777 (1975, Czechoslovakia, domestic version entitled "Modrý Efekt & Radim Hladík", different cover and track order) Despite different album titles, catalog numbers and altered track sequence, the actual recordings on each version are identical. CD Bonton 495274-2 (2000, Czech Republic, remastered by Jiří Charypar w/ 2 bonus tracks)

Behaviour like this (and, if you remember, some other actions) are the main reason why there was no room for you in E&O Team. In any other team, I'm afraid, too. If you don't understand this, it's very sad, but it's your problem, Mayer. I think it's the end of the discussion.

Do you also think it's important to state that only the first three tracks are from the original album and the others are bonus tracks? http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=4276

This should be under Tony Patterson name only, and on the 1st album it should say (with Ayre) the 2nd album does NOT have Ayre's name on the cover at all, but he appears on one song |
Mayer, you put the cart before the horse here.
PA entry is PATTERSON - EYRE duo, not a Tony Patterson as a solo artist. I guess guys from Crossover Team had their reasons to add only the duo to PA. Normally you didn't have to add Tony Patterson's solo album "Equations of Meaning" to PATTERSON - EYRE page and now I must ask admins to delete it.
I'm not familiar with Tony Patterson's solo works. If they are progressive we can contact genre team, but formally "Equations" should be deleted.
Any ideas? |

I think it would be helpful mostly for lesser known bands - Solaris and its offshoots was a good example. In case of big names (PF, DT, Genesis etc) it's, in my opinion, not a high-priority task because cats and dogs know that, for instance, Man in Black was a guitarist in a couple of loud bands.

hello.
I'm back a bit later than I had anticipated...
here is the biography for Hedersleben:
http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=9191
Hedersleben
was hatched in the village of the same name on the outskirts of
Quedlinburg, Germany by British guitarist, Nicky Garratt.
In 2012 Garratt became the music director for Hawkwind’s Nik Turner.
Garratt, a founding member of the iconic punk band UK Subs, pulled together
musicians to collaborate, and record Nik Turner’s Space Gypsy album in
Los Angeles. After a short incubation period, the prototype
version of Hedersleben manifested from the promotional line-up of Nik
Turner's Space Gypsy. In August 2013, Hedersleben joined
keyboard/flute/sitar player Joel Vandroogenbroeck, founder of the
revolutionary Krautrock band Brainticket, to collaborate, and record
Past, Present, and Future, the first Brainticket studio album in 15
years. Hedersleben recorded their debut album, Upgoer back to back with Brainticket’s Past, Present & Future.
In
October 2013 Hedersleben embarked on their first national tour, both
opening for, and backing Nik Turner. (Hedersleben has opened for,
and backed Nik Turner on tour in 2013, 2014, and 2015.)
Hedersleben's
second album, Die Neuen Welten (2014) . (The New Worlds) takes humanities
aspirations for upward exploration, the subject of the first album
Upgoer, to the next stage.
Zu Den Neuen Welten, (To The New
Worlds), celebrates the multitude of new worlds found by the Kepler
Space telescope. the album features guest vocalist Kati Knox.
Side
A of Die Neuen, Welten was set to film by San Francisco filmmaker,
Erren Franklin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0Y-LF5shz8
A
one off gig in June 2014, featured special guest Captain Sensible of
The Damned on second guitar. The show was filmed at 1-2-3-4 Go!
Records in Oakland, California:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9xeM_p0GBY
Hedersleben's third
album, The Fall Of Chronopolis (2015) is a concept album that follows the
epic story of the rise and fall of the Chronotic Empire, based on the
book of the same name, by Barrington J. Bayley.
Hedersleben was signed by Cleopatra Records in time for the release of The Fall Of Chronopolis.
please see Rivertree's review of Die Neuen Welten here: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=1455654
Hedersleben is the backing band for Nik Turner's Space Gypsy album (2013): http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=42660
Hedersleben is also the backing band for Brainticket's Past, Present, and Future album (2015) http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=47968
and in your response,
"Please let us know what's wrong in this text (http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=9191)"
"HEDERSLEBEN

playing as Nik TURNER's backing and opening band. (4) The band is led by
guitarrist (5) Nicky BARRETT and (6) suffered many line-up changes.
(7) Their
two albums "Upgoer" (2013) and (8) "Die Neuen Welen" (2014) (9) are mainly
influenced by POPOL VUH, NEU! and CAN.
(10) Most songs focus on the
psychedelic keyboard/electronic work and feature ethereal female vocals
and skilful drumming.
If you're looking for a great modern Krautrock band with classic roots but still sounds fresh and innovative, you just found it!"
(1) German Krautrock band from Hedersleben <------ San Francisco, but created in Hedersleben, Germany
(2) formed in 2011 (2012)
(3) initially
playing as Nik TURNER's backing and opening band. <------ sort of, please see bio above.
(4) "led by guitarrist" ... guitarist <------- is spelled like this ; )
(5) "Nicky BARRETT" <------ should be Nicky Garratt
(6) "suffered many line-up changes." ... <------ dreadful... how about strengthened by? improved with? enhanced by? - even better, please see Rivertree's new review here: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=1524884
(7) "Die Neuen Welen" <------- (spelling error. it should be Die Neuen Welten)(8) Their
two albums... <-------- three albums, and working on a fourth - one per year so far. (9) are mainly
influenced by POPOL VUH, NEU! and CAN. <--------- Amon Düül 2, Can, Grobschnitt, Caravan, and most importantly, Magma
(10) Most songs focus on the
psychedelic keyboard/electronic work and feature ethereal female vocals (Katie has an ethereal voice, not Ariana) and the focus is mainly acoustic guitar, and electric guitar, (the guitarist founded the band after well over a decade of planning, he composed the majority of the music, selected the musicians, named it after the village where he has a house in Germany...)
*please let me know if any of this would be better for you written, or formatted differently. I am more than happy to accommodate.
I will send a new band photograph as soon as possible...
Thank you for your patience. It is greatly appreciated.
cheers |
Thanks, done.
