Nursery Cryme & The Yes Album still have less than 30 points each, so they haven't even made it into the Top 30 so far, but don't forget, voters can only vote for one album by each individual artist in their Top 10. Look on the bright side though: Yes & Genesis currently have five out of six albums in the Top 6 between them.

In the land of grey and pink and moving waves aren't on there but in the case of Caravan I suppose maybe them being canterbury and not symph has something to do with it.

Paul, are you hiding "the Yes album" under your bed or something? :D How can that be missing? Come to think of it Nursery Cryme seems to be missing too. Any other 1971 albums missing? :P

^ Cressida are listed under Symphonic Prog and I'm planning to post a tribute thread for them in the not too distant future.

That's simply to prevent someone from voting for ten albums by their one favourite artist, which I would have done with Renaissance if that rule didn't apply. ![]() I just went back and checked that your six choices are all by different artists, and they are.

Why is there a one-album-per-band rule?

^ By the way, I mentioned in my intro that it's one album selection per artist, although I can still count your first vote for each artist if you like.

Thanks. I might as well leave Harmonium in place now, seeing as it's currently #8 in the Top 10.

There's some great bands missing out from the list above due to it only being 10. I could easily have gone Focus, Refugee, Transatlantic, Echolyn and Kansas if I could have named more bands.

ALL TRAPS ON EARTH - A Drop of Light (29 points) There are three new entries in the Top 10 after that latest long update:- Wobbler, Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Yes' Tales from Topographic Oceans. It gave me a headache sorting out the many entries for the latest Top 10 update, so I'm going to lie down in a darkened room for awhile now. ![]() Edited by Psychedelic Paul - August 14 2020 at 01:33 |

Edit: 1. Duke 2. CTTE 3. Tarkus Sorry about that. I've just noticed I've only included albums by the three probably most successful symphonic bands, so I've managed to extricate a few more albums (by lesser known bands) that are better than the usual lot: 4. Mirage (Camel, though still quite well known) 5. Snow (Spock's Beard) 6. Garden Shed (England, discovered them courtesy of Psychedelic Paul ![]() Hm... no, that's it. |
