Please read the previous pages. The reason why I gave this title was explained there, by me. But it failed miserably. I thought we could have some fun... Anyway, such threads by me were already over. No new ones will come. And it feels good. ![]() |

Four pages about fake grasshoppers. Impressive.
Why not leave the giant grasshopper and focus on the title of this topic, which clearly says «facts»? To stay in the world of tiny, some female dragonflies fake death to avoid male dragonflies looking to get laid. The female ones drop down to earth if they are not interested. Evidently there is a lot to learn from giant grasshoppers.

^ Thank you, JD. But I REALLY don't like recurring things in my life. I'm sincere. I don't like this. I presented a new thought, and I assure that I'm not happy that the same stuff happened.

So let me get this straight...you start a thread with an obvious conspiratorial fakery and now you state "I'm bored with this stuff." and "I don't want to discuss". Friede is right-on in presenting her arguments.

^ Nice! You won again!
Off-topically, I have a recommendation for you and Jeanine. As your self-righteous grandiose ego(s) probably hasn't/haven't noticed it yet. You have to be made "aware". Read what Beethoven said about Handel and about your ultimate and objectively best Bach. Your partner shared what he said about Bach as a support to Bach's ultimate superiority. The rest is up to you. I'm bored with this stuff. The more I state that I don't want to discuss, the more argumentative you are. Edited by Shadowyzard - November 17 2021 at 09:03 |

You don't have to make me aware of that. But they only do so when there is a need for it. For example: The result of the Michelson-Morley experiment called for new explanations for the addition of velocities, which led to Einstein's special theory of relativity. And that the trachea breathing system is way inferior to lungs or gills is nothing that has to be checked anymore.

^ This is a progressive music site, science progresses; and you, beyond a shadow of a doubt, don't/can't. I didn't say or mean that "you don't question anything." Period. I meant, you don't question pre-established scientific "facts". Do I have to make you aware that the real scientists do that? At least the progressive ones? If you had been living in the past, you would have taken its scientific "facts" as granted. Ah, you also believe in God. Here's a quote for you. Your "belief" will be like this in the following centuries or millennia: "The altar cloth of one aeon is the doormat of the next." — Mark Twain

First of all: You are wrong about me not questioning anything. But there are things that are not worth questioning. There is no need to question that the earth is a globe, and there is no need to question that this thing in the photo can't be a real grasshopper, at least not if one knows a bit about entomology.

^ Ah, I said "most likely" as for not replying to you. Lucky me, I didn't say certainly. So I can reply. I NEVER claimed that I know anything about this matter. Do you want a fact? I would have questioned the certainty about the Earth being in the center of the Universe, and not rotating around its own axis, even if I had been living before the Common Era; and you wouldn't.
Discussing with you is like discussing with a robot... Someone bring the Deep Blue chess computer here, please. It has a real rival here!!! So, perhaps I can find some peace of mind... Edited by Shadowyzard - November 16 2021 at 17:49 |

Oh, you definitely would. By the way, "experts" also say that Dimash's highest note is a D8 and I'm sure that it is a G8. Anyway I'm happy with my imagination. You can be happy with yours too. Have a good night. If you go on making your chess moves, I may use my arcade skills. I really am a grand master in arcade fighting games. I'm really at loss for words, and don't have any other method to "stop" you. All in all, I'll not answer again. Most likely. You can make your "winning" move. ![]() Edited by Shadowyzard - November 16 2021 at 12:29 |

During the period of World War II, there was a secret bomber-making factory south of Seattle, Washington. To hide the factory, Boeing camouflaged it by entirely covering it with a fake neighborhood created by a Hollywood set designer! The fake neighborhood included fake houses, trees, and artificial sidewalks. The intention was to hide the presence of an airplane production facility down below from other potential bombers. |

It is most definitely fake because of two anatomical features of insects: Trachea and exoskeleton.
