I just read today that a young person from Nepal was found on the streets of Paris after disappearing from home six months ago. He was spotted by by someone who once visited the Facebook page set up for the research! The boy was part of the national ski team and was upset because the team had been dissolved, so he ran away.

So, the internet does perform "miracles"! We're still hoping and praying...

Have you tried getting your case on Unsolved Mysteries or something. That might help.

Know this, when Amber returns you guys are going to be one of the first places I come to let everyone know.  Thank you PA for your continued support.

I've only just read this, and I can't say how sorry I am for you.

I really do hope things turn out OK, please, keep us posted.

I (think) I speak for everyone when I say, you don't have to thank us for the support.

I hope this turns out for the best...

Nothing really to post about except fund raisers that are too far away form most of you to participate.  We will never give up hope but there is less and less for us to do until something tangible turns up.

I don't really know what to write, but better than writing nothing at all: Considering your horriffic situation,  just to let you know that you're not forgotten.

Every time a story similar to your niece's comes up, I think of your niece and hope that she is doing OK and that every thing will be OK for her.  This past weekend a 5 year old girl was abducted from her apartment complex in Monroe, Michigan.  The mother's boyfriend is a sex offender and the prime suspect but as far as I know they haven't been able to find the girl yet, and he hasn't confessed to anything.  It is really sad for that these types of events happen at all, but the fact that they are so common makes it even sadder.  Best wishes for your niece's safe return.

^  Just got home Scott.. and saw the story on CNN... made me sick to my stomach.

I realized I hadn't checked in here in awhile.    I know Raff would have told me if there was new news... but always in our thoughts and prayers.

I just saw this article on CNN which has some updates to the status, so hopefully it is OK if I post a link to it.  http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/06/15/california.missing.teen/index.html

^ Thanks for the link.  Yeah it was a eventful weekend with the closure of the center.  The Mayor and city council were all on hand and Mark Klass made a speech that centered on the need to change the present Amber Alert Laws and let local police be the ones who could issue such an alert not some bureaucrat in Sacramento or other state capital.   The concert was not a rousing sucess but still had a 100+ people show up.  Those old guys could still rock.

There is something being investigated but I am not at liberty to discuss at this time. It is extremely sensitive, possibly even dangerous for Amber and her family if it isn't handled right and if it is true its not real good for Amber although it would mean she is alive and that is all I can say.

If there's a chance she's alive & well, Brian, that's something to hold on to; if there are any other issues, thay can be dealt with as an when necessary - the one thing to hold on to is hope.

Thoughts still with you.
