Living with somebody can be a potential battlefield and i applaud anyone who can do it amicably but it is an art to be mastered, consideration for each other - arguments about space, property and personal hygiene, next time your partner goes away Cuncuna you should cope with it the British way - take the pressure off her by not minding she has to go away for her job, enjoy some space on your own, and have the place looking immaculate on her return, and no evidence of the party you had with the boys!

no - to cut a long story short, in 1982 i had a serious accident on a decorating job and lost the use of my left hand and arm - after 5 operations and many years later i find i can do most things with patience and perseverance, i always wanted to learn to play the guitar and can do many basic techniques, i play a left handed guitar as i can use my injured hand for picking and my right for fretting. it takes much longer than most to learn pieces but often i'm amazed at what i can achieve sometimes, especially on the bass! i've only been doing bass for a few months but my hard work and persistence are bearing fruit, as long as what i'm trying to do is technically possible for me i never give up!
my crowning achievement will be to be able enough to play live in a band, something i hope to do soon.

BTW, Steve, I have lost both my parents, so Micky has no mother-in-law to contend with... And my late mom was one of the nicest, sweetest people on earth anyway!

How do you think those of us who've NEVER had love feel constantly? Sorry, but I'm contractually stipulated by my membership on PA to make at least one emo comment per month, and since I've been slacking off lately with them, I had to pull this amazing display of melancholic self-pitying drivel I still stand by the statement though

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Pah! Some pointless drivel written by someone who had obviously never lost a love.

Great story, Steve! I wish you all the luck with the band. Make sure to have it the prog way, the Unsigned Bands is waiting for fresh new talents!

See I used to be able to sympathize with that quote, before i fell in love. I mean Christ, i'm only a young man but the day when my girl finally decides to ditch me.... it aint good thinking about. So i have now made the decision that this quote is bullc**p in a chef's salad.

Would you like to watch TV, or get between the sheets, or contemplate the silent freeway, would you like something to eat?

Meanwhile, I got nagged 10 times today. Between multiple causes, I got nagged once because I rented "Spiderman 3" and the movie sucks...

That's ok I guess... you have fun while I suffer. I think I'll start a nag count to check out how much nagging am I getting. I think I'm a nice guy. I clean the house, I cook everyday (and not average food, I'm very aware of the nutritive and artistic value of my kitchen numbers), I try not to create a mess while I exist; still, there's always something. Women are programmed to be uncomfortable? I can't leave every object in the house in the same angle and separated by the same distance, but that is not what one could call "a mess". Funny thing is, I feel happy to hear all this things again. That week alone was pure hell...

Well, I think Micky will be able to confirm that I am not a nagger. Since I don't like to be nagged myself, I return the favour. Anyway, I know there are a lot of men who can nag their partners as well as women do.
