I should have added that despite being possibly the least favourite track from the album I still enjoy it very much, Awake is a great album in its entirety if you ask me Smile

How's about One Little Victory from a Canadian trio?  That one opens up Vapor Trails and kind of rams that album right down your throat.

Yay! for Pete Clarke Approve - his openning "solo" for Siouxsie's Dreamshow DVD is pretty good too.

This is the first thing that came to my mind.

In that same spirit, "Guitar Shop" by Jeff Beck.  Terry Bozio opens it amazingly sloooooooow, yet it kicks.

Oh yes! I haven't played that album in ages - I'm putting that on my playlist for tomorrow.

More slow ones:
Intruder and Biko by Peter Gabriel (Jerry Marota).
Fallen Angel by Robbie Robertson (Manu Katche).
Show Don't Tell by Rush (you know).

Nothing rips, though, like Alphonse Mouzon's intro to Birdfingers on The Eleventh House with Larry Coryell.

Lots of good ones mentioned in this forum.

The one that immediately sprung to my mind is Santana's "Soul Sacrifice".

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.
