Actually come to think of it, Essex IS A landfill site. Not far from where I live, it's actually quite country-fied, there are hedgerows and green fields. You could almost be in Devon - the only difference is in Essex the hedgerows are full of sofas and old fridges. I live a few miles from the council tip and people actually dump rubbish in the roads nearby. What's the point of driving to the tip and then dumping it all in the road?

Nice pic p-c.
I once stood near him at the Milton Keynes Bowl and, knowing how tall he is, you must either be about 6' or standing on a box.

Hi,
I am a new member of Prog Archives. I am late-40's and grew up with the progressive/alternative music of the 70's. I love Camel, Tangerine Dream, Steve Hillage, etc., etc. It's great to revisit this wonderful music of my past.

now, now, Alan, you shouldn't be so forward as to ask such a question on the first post , give Barbara time to adjust to our laid-back ways and our predilection with timber-built outhouses.
Welcome to the Grey Room.
Well, at least I think we've finally solved the nursey conundrum:
spooky or what?

Thanks, all, for the welcome.
What is a shed? Are you referring to an outhouse? I am in the US, in the pleasant state of Virginia, where I have lived all my life.
I am glad this Grey Room is laid back, as I am too. I like to relax with good music.
Regarding my "shed" (if it means outhouse): I have a nice bathroom inside my house, thank you. Actually one full bath upstairs and a half bathroom downstairs.
I am happily single and child-free, by the way.
Nice to join the Grey Room,

In the UK the shed is a the last refuge of the thinking man (or woman) - it is generally a 6'x8' wooden hut used to store gardenning equipment, patio furniture, the plethora of DIY tools we bought but never used and many half-used tins of paint in a secluded corner of the garden. And it is this seclusion that had made it a bolt-hole for many a beleaguered grey to ferret themselves away from the turmoil of the 21st century, where we can drink beer (and smoke) in peace. Here is a photo of mine:
The paintwork (courtesy of my wife Debs), caused a bit of a stir in our conservative neighbourhood, instantly marking us out as hippy radicals for having the audacity not only to deviate from the established brown, but to use two garish and loud colours...
it is also (dare I say) a running gag here in the grey room.
