Quite so, Neil.

Although I made a faux pas in my reply indicating Jim's schoolboy error, but I have now altered it.

Hi James,  it seems you may have misunderstood.  I was agreeing with you and having a humourous dig at Jim, not criticising.

Neil.

Well, it's just gone 2pm on a hot'n'sunny Friday afternoon......I have been sat in front of this blinkin 'puter since 7am....... and I have reached saturation point, Friday's get yer like that don't they?

none of the e-mail I need or been waiting for have arrived, none of the faxes I need or have been waiting for have arrived, loads and loads of excrutiatingly frustratingly hideous things to do in my in tray......... but simply struggling to summon the motivation.......
Even Steve Wright in the afternoon hasn't lifeted my spirits, GRRRRRRRR to everything.

Thank crunchie it's Friday........ when I am really in trouble is when I feel like this on a Tuesday!!!

I....must........do.....some.........work................... (in absence of a snoring emoticon )

Ah well........... tell me something EXCITING you are doing this weekend...... it had better be EXCITING though....... no lawn cutting, car washing stories please, I might slip into a coma!

R x

I'm not doing anything exciting this weekend, sorry Rach.  I wish I was though.

However, I maybe going to see Nightwish in March... Nicky wants to go you see.  I need to look up the date.  I have a suspicion it may clash with the RIO Festival though, does anyone know the dates for that?

Nothing much planned for this weekend, just a wind-down from the hols. Debs is off shopping with friends on Saturday, so Alex wants us to have a Dad & Daughter day, which usually involves finding a country pub for some lunch. Hopefully I'll get some time to do some arty paintings - I saw a couple of really nice paintings last week and have a disc full of photos from Carnac of standing stones and beaches that have inspired me a bit.

Might go camping in the New Forest next weekend if the weather still holds. Ermm

Go to The Red Lion, Avebury, that fits all your needs. Wink

Ah, I've found out that Nightwish and the RIO festival do not clash, yippee!

Yep, Saturday night campfire and fireworks. I could take my guitar along and entertain everyone with a stirring rendition of "Lucky Man".

and then again...

I'm currently favouring The Bush at Ovington on the River Itchen.

Well if it's closer, sure.

You'll have to come to The Red Lion at some point, to meet up with Rach, myself and any others who decide to go there.

Nicky and I, have said we'll and get there one day, but it's likely to be during the week (due to the buses).  Once I have a car, Bob's my Oystercard.

Got to get some bits and peices for our holiday on Lake Como in a couple of weeks.

Going to the Chiltern Open-Air Museum tomorrow with family.

Great place.Rescued buildings of note from a Medieval barn to a portable,Victorian, corrugated iron chaple to a prefab.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

Hmm... HMV is crap.  I went in their earlier, to see if they had the new Hammill remasters.  Nothing.  I then checked for the Caravan BBC double-disc that's just come out.  Success!  Now I was on a role (roll?)... or so I thought.  I checked for Kevin Ayers' new one.  Nothing.  I thought then "they absolutely must have "Comicopera", Robert Wyatt's new one.

Nope.  They didn't even have a section for him.

So they have a section for Hammill and VdGG, but not Robert Wyatt, winner of a Mercury Prize (which happen to be on tonight)?

Piffle!

I hate music stores.

Ah, that's why they didn't have it.  They didn't have any Wyatt though, so I won't hold my breath on 8th October.

Is Comicopera (Comic Opera) a play on words of Cornucopia, do you think?
