There's also no shortage of prog albums to make up the 25 needed for each poll. The hardest part is deciding who to leave out. Smile

That doesn't suprise me. Big smile

My favourite double album with no filler songs. Kate even manages to make a washing machine sound interesting. Tongue

Deadwing is a Classic, Riverside is extremely good... never understood the appeal of TMV at all

That makes two of us who are underwhelmed by The Mars Volta. I prefer to explore Mars with Hungarian band  Solaris instead. Smile

^^ I see you've gone for Mostly Autumn here? This one is a solid 4 stars from me, along with Pepper's Ghost.

I think you should try a little harder with VDGG though... Present isn't a classic, but it's certainly better than the 2 stars you've awarded it.

I'm afraid you're fighting an uphill battle with trying to turn me on to VDGG's 2-star Present album, especially  bearing in mind I've given a lowly  2-star rating to the classic Pawn Hearts album too. Embarrassed

I did give a full 5-stsr rating to VDGG's two 1970 albums though and I even went out and bought them too, so The Least We Can Do is Wave to Each Other in showing our appreciation for those two particular albums.  Thumbs Up

At Present, a noncommittal three-star rating for both albums. Smile

A Grounding in Ratings with apologies to fans of Pawn Hearts. Embarrassed

^^ no disrespect Paul, but that is the most non-sensical set of ratings I've ever seen!

5 Stars for Least & H to He (Masterpiece) and 2 for Pawn Hearts???? (their greatest work and the one that, even by their own admission, the former two albums were leading up to?)

Besides that, World Record is their most melodic and accessible (you like that kind of thing) and it only gets 3 Stars??

We implore you to reevaluate...

^ Sorry Jared, but After the Ordeal of listening to Pawn Hearts three times in a row now, it's not going to gain an extra star from me by listening to it again, so no, VDGG aren't a Vital band for me. Confused
