No problems at all...

The problem is that some (many?) people, my "lucky" self included, can't use the forum pages.
Isn't that a contradiction (or is it an oxymoron)?
If you can't use the forum pages, how did you make that post to say you can't use the forum pages?
LOLConfused

Yes, a contradiction.
You know very well that I meant "to use it properly". Once again -- is "properly" a right word in such circumstances?

Just joking!
Actually I've changed my mind - I don't like having the welcome message at the top of each page. As Erik says it means you have to scroll down even if there's only 1 post on the page. Also, I just had a Virgin Media ad in my reply box and couldn't type in it!

OK, I've just realised the welcome message disappears when you log in.

Even without any welcome message the current situation is awful. In my opinion, of course.

I don't like it either. Confused Why do I have to scroll the post box from side to side? Is it really useful?

I don't know if anybody mentioned it yet, but when using the search function in the PM section, the function is almost fully outside the small window! You have to extend it to a full screen to be able to use it.

Shouldn't be much a trouble to fix!!

I'm not the biggest fan of this new look either, it has to be said.  The main problem for me is that I have to use the scroll bar to see the rest of my post that I am currently typing.  I could see my whole message in the box before.  The other issue is that the pop-up emoticon box has to be stretched each time and so does the web link box.

Because this new forum layout is defaulting to a certain screen resolution, it means that us users who are using a higher resolution (in my case 1280 x 1024) find the forum quite difficult to use.

Why change the forums layout to fit a resolution?  I shouldn't have to change my resolution to use any website.

As someone said, the forum was working fine before, so I do not know why these changes have been brought in.

At least with AdBlock + though, I do not see any adverts, which is a bonus.

It looks like what's good for me is not good for you and vice versa... Confused

^ unless you want to write a post ... the quick reply box is also configured with a with of approx. 960 pixels (the usual value for 1024 screens), but squeezed into a small box.LOL

Yes, the reduced space on the page is very very annoying.  What was wrong with the old one, or do they just feel like changing things for the heck of it.  Also, I'm just realizing how the amount of space in the "quick reply" box has widened about double.  It's hard to read my message.

I noticed a strange thing. If you use the quick reply box then you've got this over the box:

When you click on the smiley you get the emoticons window and you can stretch it.

But when you use the full mode (using  Reply) then the "maximize" button of the same window (which you get by clicking on more... under emoticons on the left side of the reply box) is inactive. And also you can't stretch the window... Confused
