Genesis - Supper's Ready (Emotions at their extreme)
Supertramp - Logical Song ("one, two, three, FIVE"...love the wacko ending)
Sting - They Dance Alone (The most beatiful ending of a song)

I think Tarkus (ELP), 2112 (Rush), A Change of Season and Scarred (Dream Theater)

i really like Lady Fantasy's ending, and Killers has quite alot of
emotion "FISHES CANT FLY FISHES CANT FLY NEITHER CAN I NEITHER CAN I!!"

uh, helooo? VDGG - Lemmings!
speaking of this topic, ive always thought that Yes was the most
creative when it came to song endings, rather than groups like Genesis,
who ended half their songs with a cymbal crash.

I know it is not very popular, but I picked Steve Hackett's Shadow Of The Hierophant - simple yet stunningl, it is from Voyage Of The Acolyte Album.

Ending of The Musical Box is indeed one of my favorites. But I
agree with mentioning also Chamber of 32 doors as a favorite Genesis
ending.
I like the end of Ciclos by Canarios where we hear the voice of God who is a bit disappointed (at least, that's my impression)

Octavarium has a great outro
also, Return to Forever - Majestic Dance has such a dark ending, especially when compared to how light most of the song can be

Oh, Chamber of 32 Doors. That gets honorable mention; what a beautiful
finish to the first lp of an album. That's a favorite Genesis track.
Otherwise:
•Suppers Ready
•The Knife
•Starship Trooper
•Finally Free
•Eclipse(whole song is an ending)
Outside Prog:
•Stairway to Heaven
•The End (Beatles)
•Hallowed be Thy Name

Musical Box has indeed a truly great ending and there are many other Genesis tunes that also could qualify. My own preference would be the outro of the Dire Straits tune "Planet of New Orleans"

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

Cassandra Geminni/Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt both have great climaxes at the end of them...
I can't really think of an all-time favorite ending though...I'd probably go with 21st Century Schizoid Man...it's very psychotic and it manages to give me a headache I enjoy.

are you refering to the spoken 'attention planets of the solar federation, we have assumed control, we have assumed control...'
or are you talking about all of that terrible noise coming from Lifeson

Wow there's so many!
2112, Thick As A Brick, Supper's Ready, Octavarium, Heart of the Sunrise, Icarus
*and I completely agree with The Musical Box
