Random Album Clash 2/3 for the week of 27.03 - 03.04.21 is focused on 1979! Some love this year, some dislike it; I think there are interesting and strong releases, so I will initiate the voting with a vote for 'The Wall'. However, I have no idea which album could win this one... Also, here is the already exhaustive list of all that has happened on RAC so far: 1970 - 'Lizard' by King Crimson 1992 - 'Hybris' by Anglagard 1985 - 'Misplaced Childhood' by Marillion 2019 - 'Resistance' by IQ 1968 - 'A Saucerful of Secrets' by Pink Floyd 1975 - 'A Night at the Opera' by Queen 2000 - 'Lightbulb Sun' by Porcupine Tree 1982 - 'Signals' by Rush 1995 - 'THRAK' by King Crimson 2005 - 'Deadwing' by Porcupine Tree 1965 - 'Rubber Soul' by The Beatles 1980 - 'Permanent Waves' by Rush 1971 - 'Who's Next' by The Who 1969 - 'Stand Up' by Jethro Tull 2013 - 'English Electric Part Two' by Big Big Train 1991 - 'Innuendo' by Queen 1986 - 'So' by Peter Gabriel 2008 - 'Blomljud' by Moon Safari 1966 - 'Revolver' by The Beatles 1977 - ‘Animals’ by Pink Floyd 1998 - ‘'F♯ A♯ ∞' by Godspeed You! Black Emperor 1972 - ‘Octopus’ by Gentle Giant 1981 - ‘Moving Pictures’ by Rush 2017 - ‘Grimspound’ by Big Big Train 2016 - ‘Blackstar’ by David Bowie 1999 - ‘Metropolis Pt.2: Scenes from a Memory’ by Dream Theater 1978 - ‘Hemispheres’ by Rush 2002 - ‘In Absentia’ by Porcupine Tree 1987 - ‘Clutching at Straws’ by Marillion 2011 - ‘Grace for Drowning’ by Steven Wilson’ 2009 - ‘Frequency’ by IQ 1993 - ‘Ever’ by IQ 1976 - ‘A Trick of the Tail’ by Genesis 2015 - ‘Until All the Ghosts Are Gone’ by Anekdoten 1988 - ‘Spirit of Eden’ by Talk Talk 1967 - ‘The Piper at the Gates of Dawn’ by Pink Floyd 2007 - ‘Fear of a Blank Planet’ by Porcupine Tree 1990 - ‘Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors’ by Fish 1989 - ‘Seasons End’ by Marillion

I actually know at least half the albums here, which might be something of a record for me in these Random Album Clashes, and somewhat predictably, I'm voting for Pink Floyd again.

Some great albums here (including the fantastic Breakfast in America), but Heresie needs some love - especially just a few days after Roger Trigaux's sad passing.

Easy - Mr. Hackett.
Tull, The Floyds, and Zep are no slouch either.

Some nice stuff: Zeppelin, Tull, Kansas, Tangerine dream, but Univers Zero beats them all. They operate on another level completely. I would vote Jethro if UZ werent included.

I own about ten of these. Too many winners in this list! '79 was a great year. Might come back and vote for Force Majeure, Danger Money or Stormwatch.

Back then, I could have voted Eloy, Pink Floyd, UK or Supertramp, but today I will vote for Bruford...

Very interesting, many nice albums here. Today I like Spectral Mornings a bit more than Heresie, but it could well be the other way round on another. I might occasionally even choose Jethro Tull or Supertramp.
