"Morotway" City - my second favourite Hawkwind song, after Spirit of the Age (feat. Matthew Wright)

In fact it DOES, because I voted for it as well! Wink

Catchiest bass line intro of any Yes song IMHO!

I saw Gabriel finish a concert in 1980 before 'Biko' was released - spellbinding.

Yes, It Can Happen, but not this time, as I voted for Hawkwind instead. Smile

All great songs, but it has to be Yes.

Honourable mention to Hawkwind. Levitation is one of their very best albums IMO. Motorway City is one of those Hawkwind songs that is really good, but could have been excellent had it been developed more.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Matthew Wright is a mega fan. I quite liked his version of SOTA. It was something of a bizarre moment in rock history though. Like if Richard Madeley had teamed up with VDGG..

Apart from the Hawkwind song which I've not heard, there are 4 cracking songs here.
The KB one is an underrated gem of hers but I think I'll go for Biko here.

The tracks in these polls are a strange but maybe just for that reason interesting selection... once more none of these is anywhere near the top tracks of even these artists in that year. Ultimately still my favourite artists wins this, who is Kate Bush.

Hawkwind's Spirit of the Age has had two well-deserved mentions now, and here it is, with mega-fan Matthew Wright! Geek
