all their album openers were great, In the Evening on ITTOD and We're Gonna Groove from Coda were more than ok openers, I like them quite a bit.

There's No Jacket Required to take part in a Guilty Pleasures thread.

If we do a guilty pleasures thread, there's an album from the 80's with the word 'Jacket' in the title and... No, I better not go anywhere near that thread lol.

I've always been a bit mystified by how to apply the term "guilty pleasures". If it refers to the dictionary meaning "something, such as a film, television program, or piece of music, that one enjoys despite feeling that it is not generally held in high regard." then I have a myriad "guilty pleasures". If it refers to music I might be ashamed to admit I like, then nothing fits into that category for me. If I like a piece of music I have no qualms admitting that I like it.

^ They had a habit of making the opening track of their albums (or at least the first five) an ear shattering no-nonsense rocker: Good Times Bad Times / Whole Lotta Love / Immigrant Song / Black Dog / The Song Remains the Same - it doesn't get much better than that. |

"Immigrant Song" was an absolute must for inclusion on my Top 10 list, whichever way I put the list together. I only just noticed it wasn't on your list too, but maybe you could migrate "Immigrant Song" onto your list belatedly.

'Immigrant Song' should have been on my list too - it pained me leaving that out as we were restricted to 10.

I'm pretty sure I would've chosen the same ten favourite Led Zeppelin songs as you if I hadn't chosen a favourite song from each of ten albums.

Guilty Pleasures thread is actually a good idea. Who takes the initiative?

Ironically, one of my Guilty Pleasures is Barbra Streisand & Barry Gibb's "Guilty Pleasures" album.

My tastes in music are very eclectic indeed, and stuff I like crosses many genres and styles... including a few that I would never admit to. Maybe we need a 'Guilty Pleasures' topic in General Music Discussions.

We have a match on six out of ten favourites, proving once again that we have similar tastes in music.
