Last year I made a series of "prepositional" polls, with tracks that had ON, IN, and INTO in song titles.  If you missed them here are the links (possibly still open):

ON:

INTO:

IN:

So, continuing the same prepositional theme, going with OVER. The poll lists (most of) the tracks in my library that have OVER in the song title.

Again, MULTIPLE CHOICE IS ON, so select all your favorite tracks. I'm sure there are plenty more not here, so if you have a favorite unlisted track with OVER in the title, please select the final choice and make a comment.

Doors and VDGG for me, over anything else in the poll (no matter how much I might like them).

When the Music's Over and Summer's Almost Gone, spare a thought for Jim Morrison: forever remembered as one of the Riders on the Storm in the world of Psychedelic Rock. When Jim left for France with his L.A Woman by his side in the Indian Summer of 1971, no one could possibly have guessed he would Break On Through to the Other Side at the End of the Night in his Morrison Hotel room in Paris, after returning from a Moonlight Drive. Only earlier that day, he'd been cruising down The Soft Parade of Paris storefronts with his Wild Child L.A. girlfriend, while Waiting for the Sun to go down on the Champs de Elysee. When fans and fellow band members of The Doors heard the shocking news that Jim Morrison had died,  An American Prayer was said for him around the world in the Strange Days that followed. That wasn't The End for The Doors though, because events have now come Full Circle. The legacy of The Doors music lives on forever, as  Other Voices have carried the timeless music of Jim Morrison & The Doors well into the 21st century. So what are we waiting for..... The time to hesitate is through, no time to wallow in the mire, so come on baby, Light My FireSmile  Heart

One of my favorite Caravan tracks of all time !

2. The Carnival Is Over - Dead Can Dance

I love Brendan Perry and this is one of the best by Dead Can Dance

3. Over The Hills And Far Away - Led Zeppelin

Such a great tune - embracing all the best of Led Zep

Here's the few in my library that I skipped (mainly, had to cut because of not enough space in the poll)

Roll Over Beethoven  -  The Beatles
Over and Out  -  Foo Fighters
Turn That Heartbeat Over Again  -  Steely Dan  (whoops, I really should have included this)
It's Over  -  White Lion
It's Over  -  Morrissey
Over Under Sideways Down  -  The Yardbirds
Over at Frankenstein Place  -  (???) (sample track without artist listed; anyone know?)

Voted 'When the Music's Over' (one of the best Doors songs) and missed 'Love Over Gold' by Dire Straits from the list.

^^ This being placed in Prog Polls rather than General Music Discussions, it does make sense that it would be more Prog-centric.

An obvious two for me not on the list are Henry Cow's "Bittern Storm Over Ulm"(which Rick mentioned) and Amon Düül II's "Stumbling Over Melted Moonlight".

And for fun, a nod and a wink to Peter Hammill's album, Over. And a nod to Cardiacs' "Over and Over and Over and Over" song (poor quality but wanted to mention it anyway).

From the list, will vote for: "Pioneers Over C", "When the Music's Over", "If I Could Do It All Over Again...", "The Song is Over", "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "Over the Hills and Far Away", and I just listened to Dead Can Dance's "The Carnival is Over" and will give that a vote too.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

In order listing: Flight Over Rio, Roll Over Beethoven, Over the Hills and Far Away, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Look Over Your Shoulder, The Song is Over, To Be Over (which is probably my favorite).
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

Nice to finally see a vote for Yes: I thought about it, but it just gets waaay overshadowed by the rest of the album for me, so I dont give it enough thought.

Glad All Over is a track on the Beatles' "Live at the BBC" album (I'm guessing a cover of the same Dave Clark Five tune you mentioned, but you can tell me, since I'm not too familiar with DCF):

Ah, I stand corrected (somewhat). That Beatles track (which I'd forgotten about) is a different song to the one the DCF had a hit with.

Many great tracks here. Al DiMelola, Caravan, Chic Corea, etc. I vote for Nektar—It's All Over Now, a great way to close an album.
