I've only included the albums I know and like in the poll. I'll leave the Avant Prog albums in the capable hands of you and Drew. Smile

I shall cast the lone vote for Allan. His synthaxe album. Experimental, unique, pushing the boundaries of music.

ELPowell - great comeback album and the best of the 'big six' 80s output.

Pallas, just...
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Gabriel's masterpiece, but The Wedge is also excellent.

I think I have only heard about one-fourth of these in full at best. Of those, Talk Talk got my vote. Peter Gabriel would be second.

"So" from this list. Hackett's "Genesis Revisited" as an "other".

Steve Hackett's Genesis Revisited album was released ten years later in 1996. Wink

I voted for the clear leader here, Peter Gabriel. This was the year Genesis took over. They, PG, Steve Hackett with GTR, Rutherford with Mike + the Mechanics, and Phil Collins all hit the U.S. top ten in the same week (or at least over a two week span).

I had a feeling Peter Gabriel would win this poll - and So it proved. I doubt if my favourite albums will win any of these year-by-year prog polls, but I Don't Give Up hoping. Smile
