John Wetton: his ego is small (or so it seems) and he convinces me that he's just letting the music flow through him. I also like his taste in his phrasing both vocally and bass-ically. I can't recall any John Wetton moments (at least with Crimson) that make me cringe. Whereas although I admire both of them, there have been vocal moments with Geddy Lee and Greg Lake (w/ELP) that just seem like a bad idea, or somewhat geeky.

We may or may not like ASIA, but no one can denies that Wetton voice in the 80's was better, more powerful than before.
On the contrary of a lot of singers, WETTON voice always havs improved with time like a good bottle of wine.
Just try AGENDA a live album recorded in 2003

I'm sorry to everyone but I would Have to say Geddy Lee. H's just so... awesome! Then again, if Les Claypool was in that list... Anyways, Geddy all the way. Peace out.

I had to go for Roger of course, but Greg Lake and Paul McCartney would be other excellent choices IMO.

Voted for Geddy, because as a Rush fan I just had to. Also, high marks for Chris Squire. I attended the Police concert last night and Sting's performance definitely rated him as a high quality bassist and singer in one person.

Richard Sinclair would indeed have been a great choice. My vote goes to someone who is much disliked, but whom I personally like a lot: The late Boz Burell.

Geddy Lee can't sing so that's him out of the equation.
