Topic: Top 10 Albums? Posted: October 27 2007 at 18:27 |
This has been done before many times...but since the boards changed I'll start a new one.
1. Yes - Close to The Edge
2. Dream Theater - Images and Words
3. Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
4. Porcupine Tree - Deadwing
5. Pain of Salvation - The Perfect Element
6. Pain of Salvation - Remedy Lane
7. Unexpect - In A Flesh Aquarium
8. Porcupine Tree - Lightbulb Sun
9. Death - Symbolic
10. Opeth - Blackwater Park
Besides the Top 6, this list can change very, very often. A top 50 is really the only way to show my taste. Way to lazy though.

The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway - Genesis (normally, I wouldn't put this one at the top because I thought it was too ambitious, but I'm kinda wearing Selling England by the Pound out so I think right now I favor this one...but I'm wearing this one out as well. =/) The Yes Album - Yes Selling England by the Pound - Genesis Nursery Cryme - Genesis Trespass - Genesis (I got this one in the mail today on vinyl, and it's great!) Relayer - Yes The Wall - Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd A Song for All Seasons - Renaissance One - Neal Morse
I need to broaden my selection a little. =/

Prog:
Genesis- The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway King Crimson- Discipline Banco del Mutuo Soccorso- Darwin! UK- UK Mariliion- Clutching at Straws La Maquina de Hacer Pajaros- Peliculas Crucis- Crucis Van Der Graaf Generator- Pawn Hearts Iconoclasta- Soliloquio Split Enz- Second Thoughts
Gah, this is what I get from having too many compilations. If I had some of their full-length albums rather than comps, ELP, Yes and Soft Machine would be here.

^Wow, or something. I didn't expect to see an MCR fan here! It's a brave move to include an MCR album in a list like this on this website. I quite like the song Dead! from that album by the way. Not much more though...
-
I currently feel like listing these:
Calvary - Outnumbered is Outflanked Helmet - Meantime Popsicle - Popsicle The Chameleons - Script of the Bridge Tool - Ænima Ordination of Aaron - Completed Works Kayo Dot - Choirs of the Eye My Bloody Valentine - Ecstasy and Wine Dinosaur Jr. - Bug Three - Dark Days Coming
This list will change any minute. The Three in the list is not the New Prog band, but an old Post-Hardcore band who released a very good album in 1987.
