This "Nase doba" is a collection of old 60s beat and early psyche songs. Indeed I am also very surprised in positive sense that Modra rijeka hit the PA home page list of top 100, although it has comparatively small number of reviews.
Apart from Modra rijeka, I would recommend their first tape-only release "Indeksi" (1972), you can find many excellent prog moments there. The problem is - it is almost impossible to find unless you are content with the mp3 version of it. It is available to download here:

Enjoy!

^ Very good review. Tx Seyo

Bumping this one - I'm very glad 'Modra Rijeka' is appearing on the home page top 100. This album really deserves more exposure, I can't stop being impressed by the musical quality in there. You can hardly find a song like 'Brod' for example, so dramatic and energetic at the same time. I only own this one... which other would you guys recommend?

Music pruduction of BH Public Broadcast TV is preparing a monumental 17CDs+1DVD (!) box set dedicated to INDEXI. As a successor of former Radio TV Sarajevo they are in possession of many rare, archival and un-released Indexi songs. I can hardly wait because I suspect many of these songs were too avant-garde or non-commercial to be published at the time (late 1960s/early 1970s). The collection should appear in stores during 2008...

Hi guys,

Nice threads,all those Yugo bands.I must admit,I don't have much knowledge about these bands.I only have 4 CDs from Yugo;

Both Tako albums:Outstanding!Clap
The Drugi Nacin/Nepocin two on One CD:Amazing!Thumbs%20Up
And Indexi's Modra Rijeka:Great!Tongue

Now I  see that they have only 3 studio albums and a ton of compilations.I'd like to get one or more of these compilations. They must contain songs that are not on Modra Rijeka and of course most of the music must be progressive in some ways.No 60's beat/pop or syrupy ballads if possible.A few tracks on an album is Ok BUT NOT THE BULK OF IT.

Anyone can suggest something?

Thanks!

Alain

Alain, try download this one: http://rapidshare.com/files/12570184/Indexi_-_Indexi__1972__YUG.rar

It is a very rare cassette tape issued in 1972. Many of the songs were never released on any other format.
No beat pop, no syrupy ballads, only prog!

Unfortunately, this is the only format (mp3) which is available to find now.

As Sejo wrote, thats only prog and indeed my favorite Indexi release, everyone should listen to 'Negdje u kraju u zatisju' its possibly the best ex-yu prog song, the first ex-yu prog epic anthem.
Everyone should check it out!
