Drumer of NEUSCHWANSTEIN wrote a review of his album NEUSCHWANSTEIN
NEUSCHWANSTEIN Battlement Review by Dr. Hans Peter Schwarz @ 5:17:03 PM EST, 4/19/2005 — Dear friends, I am so much surprised, reading so many good things about our album battlement - still after such a long time. Me - I am the drummer of Newschwanstein - and I got the information by my friend, Roger Weiler, who was playing the guitar, to have a look in this web site. I must agree with almost all of your assessments. Yes, in the late seventeenth, we have been oriented to Genesis, but we never had the intention, copying that excellent group. But when you like a certan kind of musik, you cannot avoid, beeing influened of that style. One thing is very interresting. One of the reviewer have got the opinion, that our vocalist, Frederic Joost, sings good English vocals with a charming German Accent - but he is French -that is surprising. To read all these nice things about our music, an idea is growing up. I wished, we could have a revival with Neuschwanstein, but I am afraid, it is not very realistic, because most of us are living somewhere in Germany and France. But who knows, somtimes strange things occure. But there is one point left. Oour manager, Ulrich Reichert, who made all these things possible with his enthusiasm, conviction and last but not least with his money, is never mentioned. I do this hereby and say thank´s for all. Many thanks for your good opinion, friends

It's not really a review, tells us little of the album, or the sounds, therefor it may be off course and should be deleted
I like his genuine sounding thank you he expressed to the other reviewers for aknowledging his music etc. It's good to know at least some performers read our reviews and add a little information on the side.

Er... he is not actually on the forums, Hiwatter. He only wrote a review.

He sounds like quite the decent fellow. I'm glad ProgArchives is big enough that the fans and artists alike are stopping by!
(but Tuxon's right- as a review, it's terrible! )

He says Frederic Joost is doing the vocals, maybe this should be
changed on the archives (it only says he's playin guitar). ..... dont
wanna complain, just trying to help

Actually I was planning to write a review for "Battlement" soon, with a 5-star rating. I'm glad this guy feels so enthusiastic about the people who enjoy Neuschwanstein's music. There are lots of possitive reviews about that particular album in so many prog e-zines: all he has to do is google on and on and his joy will be increased.

Along with Howard Werth's text for Audience's intro, this gives the Archives a growing legitimacy.

It says a lot about him that he "only" gave his album a 4-star review!
Humility is well-respected in my books.
5 stars for Dr. Hans Peter Schwarz! A Class act!
(I still say they sound a lot like GENESIS, but that's not a bad thing)

Who's going to be brave enough to give a Fish album a bad review now then? He might be watching too...

Neuschwanstein's album Battlement
for those who may not have heard it is very good...and while it is very
Genesis oriented it is well worth checking out. It is too bad
that Dr. Schwartz isn't on the boards. The question that I would
have for him is in the packaging, and generally a trivial point:
the CD that I have states in the liner notes that the cover photo is a
shot of a battlement at Neuschwanstein castle (Schloss Neuschwanstein),
but it doesn't look like a location that I recall from that
castle. In fact it looks more like one of the castles along the
Rhein River. I'd be curious is the case. (As I said,
trivial)
Anyway, a great album...but probably not in my top-50.

This is the best part of The Archives for me. When the musicians and fans come together, I think it makes it worth while.
I must check out this band immediately.
