"Epic", in this context, is meant to describe their songs which are greater than 10 minutes in length. I made an exception for "Interstellar Overdrive" because, I mean...come on, it's "Interstellar Overdrive", how could I NOT included it in a list like this?

Anyhow-pick your favorite! My vote goes for first half of "Shine On", personally. "Dogs" is a very close second.

Echoes is my favorite (especially after my brother showed me the whole thing with Echoes synching up with 2001). My second favorite is one that kinda goes under the radar: Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast, which I think is one of their best songs.

Would you like some Bailey's?

First of all, just because a song is long doesn't mean it is an epic

secondly, I voted for one that definitely isn't an epic: Saucerful

Hence the first sentence, which says "For these purposes".

but that's a false context; there is NO context in which the word epic is primarily based on the length of something.  Why didn't you say best songs over 10 minutes?

IMO the only contender would be Shine on... If it were in one full track (I to IX)

Shine On VI-IX.  It's Wolf's poll, so he gets to set the context.

With Echoes having enough votes and The Narrow Way none, it's easy for me to vote for the latter.

Echoes. Absolutely her best.
I think similar polls have been created already and Echoes won every time.

I totally agree about Interstellar Overdive, but apart Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast all of them are masterpieces.
Curiosity killed a cat, Schroedinger only half.

Echoes of course.
Whatever the question is, if Echoes features in the list that4s the one I go for. Smile
