A unique band, but which is your favorite studio album from them?

Low Spark followed by John Barleycorn. Both are excellent.

This. Two of my favorite albums.

'When the Eagle Flies' and 'John Barleycorn Must Die' are both top-shelf albums, but I voted for 'Mr. Fantasy' because it is stellar as well and is the only one of those three to feature the band's classic lineup.

For me it's between JB and LS, went with Barleycorn.

Mr. Fantasy, although Low Spark is great too. I enjoy the wacky nature of Mr. Fantasy, with some really cool numbers mixed in such as "Coloured Rain".

This---BTW if Traffic can be on this site--what about David Crosby--his new album is very good--and his first solo is pretty prog related.

My favorite is the self-titled album. It's not prog by any means - it's just a perfect pop album.

I'm kind of surprised to see Traffic are listed under Eclectic. Anyone know if they were moved there from Proto-Prog at some point? That's probably where they belong.

I chose John Barleycorn myself. It was a hard choice, though, between that album and the second, self-titled album. As jude111 said, that one isn't prog, but it does have great songs.
I see that all the albums have at least one vote, except the rest album "Last Exit", which still features some great Traffic songs BTW, like "Shanghai Noodle Factory", "Medicated Goo" and "Withering Tree".

I don't know why that happened. They are eclectic, though: a mixture of jazz, blues, rock, folk and maybe some other genres. Maybe they have been moved because they weren't seen as really paving the way for the prog giants. Maybe because they don't have a lot of classical elements, like The Nice, the Moody Blues or Procol Harum.
