Love this album. I am a huge fan of the album "Lost and Gone Forever", and I expect that will continue to be my favorite, but each listen of "Heretics" is increasing my appreciation.

Does anyone else think they remind you of Motorpsycho? Man what a great tour those two would have together

I downloaded a copy yesterday after reading some of Gallifrey's review. I would say its a sturdy 70 minute + album. Reminds me a tad of Amplifier but not so much Muse as was suggested by Gallifrey.

Hi,
That title ... yeah!
Usually I'm not one for pointed titles ... but anyone having Virginia Wolff in the cover ... hmmmm ... hope the music is as good as any of Sally Potter's excursions into Virginia Wolff and her work!

I've heard this album a few times now, and it reminds me a lot of The Deer Hunter, only more rocking. Not a complete fan of the indie-like vocals though, but the music is pretty good

Dream the Electric Sleep was recently added to progarchives! Heretics hasn't received much attention but it sure deserves it. The album can be downloaded for free (name your price) at http://dtes.bandcamp.com/
My personal favorite album of the year (so far), give the album a try! Be sure to read THE GUIDE TO HERETICS for a little insight on the concept. http://www.dreamtheelectricsleep.com/a-guide-to-heretics.html Opinions welcome, long live prog!!!! Edited by Philodendron - May 09 2014 at 16:01 |
