19 A.D.D are an instrumental prog metal band from Colorado. Their music contains Tool-like rhythms, sampled voices and even some jazzy bits in places.

Not really sure which of the prog-metal genres they would best fit in.

19 A.D.D. is a instrumental progressive metal band from Denver Colorado that combines complex compositional structures & time signatures with harsh and ambient soundscapes. The band is known for their explosive, high-energy live performances at times featuring visual themed video projections and costumes. The members of 19 A.D.D. originally intended and auditioned several vocalists and multi-instrumentalists to join the group. However, the band was unsuccessful at finding the perfect match and decided to remain instrumental, writing music that is busy enough to stand alone instrumentally.

Originally forming in 2006 under the name Black Helicopters, the band began to perform around the Denver area as a trio mixing visual projections and free-form noise. Over time, the band took a more focused approach and spent 3 years writing and recording their debut release "Dead River" which was released August 25th 2009 on the bands own label, Level 36 Recordings. Dead River was recorded in several environments including a 2" tape reel at one studio and a state of the art digital setup at another. The band is currently working on material for a second release and putting together a music video.
