Hugh McDowell is the better cellist and, as has already been pointed out, his cello was an integral part of ELO. I much prefer GG to ELO, and Kerry Minnear is a massively talented multi instrumentalist who also co-wrote GG's best material, but judged purely in terms of the cello it has to be Hugh McDowell. ------------- 'Like so many of you I've got my doubts about how much to contribute to the already rich among us...'
