3 stars A good reunion rock release ...

This recording is a result (the second gig) of the first MAN reunion after their split in 1976. Former drummer Terry Williams was touring with DIRE STRAITS. So they recruited John 'Pugwash' Weathers who was a long time member of GENTLE GIANT. The band continues where they had stopped - to play shorter songs which are more Hard Rock/Rock & Roll/Blues orientated and less psychedelic like the early 70's. But without a doubt on a high standard. I have never heard better vocal parts from Micky Jones and Deke Leonard. And their guitar interacting is as if they never had a break.

The first song 'C'mon', known as a long track with extended jamming, is performed much shorter than ever. But f.e. the middle section of this song gives you a little clue about the fact that this band is categorized as a psychedelic/space rock band. 'Talk about a morning' is one of the rare songs which is not written by a MAN member. The original is a folk rock song by american Buzzy Linhart. The following songs are all newer (1974/75) except 'Back into the future' which is a rare live played song and 'Romain' which is from the 1970 'MAN'-Album.

What you can hear is a good reunion rock release with some nice reminiscences to the former psychedelic and space rock phase.
