3 stars APTEKA is the Polish expression for farmacy and some sources say the lyrics are full of references to drugs. This is quite impossible to check for me because the vocals are in native language. Okay - two exceptions with english lyrics can be found but are not very enlightening - Generation near to tribal psych in the vein of Tribe After Tribe and the short closing song Open mind with acoustic guitar crossing the ocean to american folk.

Never mind. APTEKA is an interesting rock band anyhow with obvious psychedelic/space leanings but quite unusual track times for this genre between 2 and 4 minutes. So this album from 1995 offers 16 songs and it's rapidly clear - they are not operating as a jamming band and seem to be open for all directions on top of it all.

System appears as a short and flawless punk piece for example whereas Przypowiesc has a jazzy funky character. The rest of the album is basically heavy rocking with some psychedelic excursions here and there. A spacey guitar with percussion makes Kosmos to a highlight for me and Diably is provided with decent keyboard assistance in the same way as the grooving Gdynia noca.

A varied album with some mediocre moments but good listenable material on the whole.
